The Prosserman JCC and Schwartz/Reisman Centre are thrilled to host the 2026 JCC Maccabi Games, the world’s largest in-person Jewish youth sporting event.This six-day event brings together athletes from more than 50 communities – eight countries to inspire Jewish pride, strengthen our community and create transformative experiences.
The JCC Maccabi Games have been engaging Jewish youth and community for more than 40 years. The largest organized in-person Jewish youth sports experience that has touched the lives of more than 500,000 Jewish teens, volunteers, and spectators. Each year, thousands of individuals participate in the Games in myriad ways:
Returning to ‘The Six’ for the first time in 40 years, the JCC Maccabi Games is one of the continent’s preeminent Jewish youth-serving and community-building platforms and is crucial in inspiring Jewish identity building, strengthening communal connections, and serving as a key leadership development pipeline.
The Games will be held August 2 - 7, 2026 and engage Jewish teens aged 13 to 17 in experiences that deepen Jewish identity and develop values and pride through healthy competition and sportsmanship.
Toronto will also host JCC Maccabi Access featuring activities for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities during the same period.
As signature programs, JCC Maccabi Games and Access not only offer Jewish teens a unique social, cultural, and life-shaping experience but also enrich Jewish life by fostering life-long relationships built on a foundation of belonging and peoplehood. Beyond the sporting arena, highlights of the week include the Opening Ceremony and Closing Party, time dedicated to acts of tikkun olam, and social events.
